CircleTales® for Facilitators:
A Collaborative Storytelling Experience for Workshops,
Group Engagement & Creative Facilitation
CircleTales is a screen-free collaborative storytelling experience designed to help groups explore ideas, build connections and create shared narratives through imagination, conversation and play.Originally developed through family-led research into storytelling and creativity, CircleTales has been used in workshops, learning environments, storytelling events and facilitated group activities.Rather than competing, participants collaborate to create unique stories together, encouraging active participation, communication and creative thinking.
Supporting Participation & Engagement
CircleTales helps create environments where participants become active contributors rather than passive observers.
By inviting people to build stories together, the game encourages:

-

Each storytelling journey is shaped by the people taking part, creating experiences that are unique to every group.
Adaptable to Your Context
CircleTales is designed to be adaptable.

Communication Through Storytelling
One of the distinctive aspects of CircleTales is that communication becomes part of the experience itself.
Participants listen, respond, and build stories together through imagination, conversation and sometimes even by acting out parts of their stories. As one educational psychologist observed after playing CircleTales, the game "asks players to access collaboration, creativity, critical thinking and communication in order to succeed" and "would be a useful tool to aid the development of prosocial communication skills in a non-threatening, collaborative and creative environment."
